I like Vienna because I feel very safe here. The city appeals older people, probably because the opera house seems to be the biggest attraction. Two years ago, Ale participated in a study abroad for 3 1/2 months, so she knows her way around. It's fun to listen to her stream of reminiscent thoughts and to learn about Vienna from her perspective.
On our first day here, we went to the Schonbrunn Palace. It reminded me of Versailles.
We went through 3 labyrinths on the palace grounds. It was hilarious to see so many confused adults, who like us, thought that the small maze would be a breeze to figure out. We wandered around for a long time and we thought we had tried every route possible! But we eventually followed someone who knew where he was going, and we made it to the end with his help. This could make a great analogy for a church lesson someday :)

One labyrinth had some cool games in it every now and then.
After Schonbrunn Palace, we stopped by Karlskirche. It's a cool church, but we didn't go inside.
Then we went to FHE with all the young single adults in Vienna! We ended up visiting on a night when the lesson was given in English. There were about 17 people there, and 5 of us were from Utah.
We then went to one of Ale's favorite restaurants in the entire world for curry pizza. It was unique and it tasted pretty darn good. Add that to the list of things that make me excited for Italy!
After dinner, Ale and I just walked around the city at night. I felt completely safe and almost at home the entire time. It was great to see the buildings lit up in the darkness.
